Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of this website and your participation in the BeyondVision MNGHA Hackathon. By creating an account or submitting an application, you agree to them. The full competition rules are published separately on the Rules page and form part of these terms.

Who we are

This website is operated by the Department of Ophthalmology, Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs (MNGHA), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC) and King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS). Eligibility and accounts

You must provide accurate and complete information when registering, and keep it up to date.
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity carried out under your account.
Each team submits one application. Teams are between two and six people, including the lead applicant.
Evaluator and organizer accounts are issued by invitation only.
Tell us promptly at beyondvisionmngha1@gmail.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

Acceptable use

When using this site you agree not to:

Submit material that is unlawful, misleading, or that you do not have the right to share.
Include identifiable patient information in any submission.
Attempt to access accounts, applications or data that do not belong to you.
Probe, scan, overload or otherwise interfere with the operation or security of the service.
Use automated means to create accounts or submit applications.

Your content and intellectual property

You keep ownership of the work you submit. Submitting an application does not transfer intellectual property to the organizers.
You confirm that your submission is original, or that you hold the necessary rights and licences to use it.
You grant the organizers a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, display and review your submission for the purposes of running, judging and reporting on the hackathon.
Selected teams may be invited to discuss a pilot or further collaboration. Any such arrangement is agreed separately in writing.

Judging and decisions

Applications are scored independently by multiple evaluators against a published rubric. Organizers may verify the information you provide, request clarification, reopen an application for correction, or disqualify a submission that breaches these terms or the competition rules. Judging decisions are final.

Availability of the service

We aim to keep the site available throughout the programme, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend or change the service for maintenance, security or operational reasons. Deadlines are published on the homepage and enforced by the system; you are responsible for submitting before the deadline rather than relying on any extension.

Disclaimer

The site and its content are provided on an “as is” basis. Nothing on this site constitutes medical advice, and no material submitted to the hackathon is validated for clinical use. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the organizers exclude implied warranties relating to the site.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the organizers are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss of opportunity arising from use of this site or participation in the hackathon. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or remove an account that breaches these terms, is used fraudulently, or poses a risk to the service or to other participants. You may ask us to close your account at any time by contacting us.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Changes are published on this page with a revised date above. Material changes affecting registered participants will be communicated by email where practical.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the courts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
